Around the house today. I'm glad it's Friday, sleep deprivation sums up the week (is Lucien the only 5 months old baby who still wakes up every 2 hours at night?)
I would love to finish a few dolls this weekend so I can update the shop sometime next week. Let's see what I can achieve by Monday.
Have a lovely weekend x
we've been back for a few days now and as always i find it hard to get back in the routine.
Seeing my family was nice, tons of food was eaten as per usual too.
I did a bit of rummaging through my old magazines and came across the first issue of French Glamour magazine. the contents is very eighties but i remember it had a great influence on me twenty years back...good lord.
look! Milla Jovovich aged 12.
on my return the letterbox was filled with nice things. this tea towel from Skinny laminx and some dotty fabrics from Reprodepot.
i will be using it to make new Lumi dolls which i'm planning to put in the shop at the end of the month, there will be a few Babette too. In the meantime you can find some Babette in the Enfant terrible shop.
I have been feeling a bit low and tired lately - but these are cheering me up
La minute papillon super cute cot
Marie-ici-là 's lovely blog and links
Sissi et loulou's beautiful crochet creations
Enjoy your weekend x
Today the boys and I braved public transport to venture into West London, the mission was to pick up Lucien's passport from the French embassy, but somehow we got diverted en route and found ourselves in this very charming children's boutique where my first Lumi dolls were supplied to.
It was a nice opportunity to admire Apolline à Paris's lovely creations
the shop is called Petit Aimé and offers the crème de la crème of all French accessories, clothes and toys. I wish i had taken more photos but i didn't want to test the boys' patience and we had a more important French place to pay our visit to.
Now all our papers are in order we're off to .. France for a long weekend. See you next week x
This is the second week of the school holidays hence my blogging, sewing and thinking have been held up. This is last week's post.
I was very pleased to get my first Wawaya doll, I let Lucien have a little dance with her.
I love purchasing dolls and creatures from fellow crafters and artists, there is so much talent and loveliness out there. Unfortunately there is also a lot of plagiarism and a lot of individuals making profit out of somebody else's idea. This leads me to refer to the lovely Emily's post about the nature of copyright, it makes me sad she felt compelled to explain what should be common sense to everyone.
