ghost and I

Meat36weeks

I haven't taken that many pictures of myself while expecting baby number two so here is one taken today, I am now entering my 36th week.

Pillowsandghost

my new ghost, made from wool, doesn't really like his floaty feet so he hides them behind my new pillows, backed with wool too.. wool is everywhere in the house those days)

lazy days

Orangewool

I am very excited by this vintage wool material I got at my usual car boot sales at the weekend, the colour doesn't translate very well on the picture but it is a very striking orange and i can't wait to turn it into something, anything..

some lazy and satisfying sewing projects this week

Leonstablemat_2

this table mat for Léon, I bought the oilcloth from John Lewis and just added some binding around it.

Babyblanket

this baby blanket for baby number two, very very much inspired by the design of this wool blanket by Nume . Also need to add a similar pocket...and a little creature inside.

it is half term this week so we are taking it easy!

..

thank you all for your very nice words about the website, it means a lot to me.. and thank you Morgane, kelly and Joslyn for mentioning it in your blogs x

up and running

Neuwebgs011

oh my..

I've done it.. at last.
I am so glad my new website is now up and running, it took me a while to figure it all out and the html world is still a mystery to me but somehow i have managed to build something i am now in control of, hopefully.

of course, I couldn't have done it without Julian who contributed to the design of the site, thank you dear!

and thank you Holly at Decor 8 for already mentioning the site, it's very kind.

Hope you'll enjoy it

nesting

Vintagenapkins1

Vintagenapkins2

we're back from France, we had a nice time with my family and ate too much as usual.
I noticed these napkins in a corner at mum's which became mine when i showed a  vivid interest in them.
My mum bought them when she was a student in the sixties, i love the simplicity of the design, colour and material..

Inspirationboard

I think i am starting to get into a nesting mood.
I couldn't stop tidying up  when we came back home yesterday and in the flow of things managed to finally tackle the inspiration board I had on my list for ever.
I used a canvas board, covered it with simple brown linen, and stapled it at the back. no fuss and great satisfaction. now it just needs to be covered with inspirational images!

hmm and yes we lost the semi final against England, I think it was the first time I watched a rugby game in its entirety. I learned the rules while watching thanks to my sister's boyfriend who surprised me when he mentioned about reading my blog.. ( salut Pierre A.!)

early weekend

Contact_pict2

We're off to France to visit my family tomorrow, this is probably not the best timing considering I am now in my eighth month of pregnancy so let's just hope I won't give birth in the shuttle..

update on my website: total nightmare.. this is what happens when you try to handle technical matters by yourself.. that will teach me!

and thank you for your comments below, sorry I haven't had a chance to reply to any of you this week.

have a good weekend x

the usual

Meandnewhaircut

I can't believe I haven't been posting for the last two weeks, where did the time go and what have I been doing? well last week was all about dealing with roofer, decorator and scaffolding so the exterior of the house is no more a horrible blue but a neutral cream.. and I had a haircut, so here is a picture of me for once, feeling a bit better.

Newikeafabric_3

otherwise what is left of my free time has been busy trying to redesign and rebuild my website by myself without any prior knowledge in that field, so it has and is still taking me a lot of time to figure it all out. I am hoping to relaunch it this week but who knows, I could still be at it next month!
this new Ikea fabric above made me happy yesterday, it is a new design by Linda Svensson, I'm loving the autumnal shades and colours.

Staffordshireset_2
this Staffordshire set was thrifted at our local car boots sale today

Framedfabric

and I decided to frame this bit of vintage fabric I have had for a few years now . I am starting to gather bits and pieces to decorate our bedroom walls which badly need a bit of attention.

and again thank you all for your nice comments on this blog, it is always very much appreciated

Enjoy the rest of your weekend x
